The installation is a soft hanging corpus composed of deconstructed indigo, burn-out cotton, t-shirts. The shirts have silk-screened images (five different compositions in total) in star-like compositions of the contours of ‘hot’ female bodies. The t-shirts themselves represent a kind of group conformity.
The resultant ‘constellation’ is a playful linkage to our once, historical reliance on the night sky to guide our way. Here, the media’s current role as conduit of ubiquitous fashion/ celebrity images provides direction to ‘find ourselves’ by following the ‘stars’.
