Bodies of Language 2021- 2024
In the abstract paintings, Bodies of Language, I deploy fragments of appropriated commercial poses and camouflage them within the formal traditions of abstraction. These works function then as ‘social’ abstractions, in reflective acknowledgement of the shaping power of the beauty industry.
